Sending her to training won’t teach you how to handle her. Find a local dog training club and go to class with her. It’s great fun.
You could. But what is the sense? Money for what you can do? I bring my dog for a walk. If it disobeys I yank the collar. Not to where it hurts him, but to straighten him out. That’ll give the puggle respect for you and you’ll be able to train him like a usall dog.
sounds like you have spent some money on trying to train her. How about just taking her to a training class. Leave the training to the experts. Don’t spend anymore $ on gadgets.
puggles are generally very hard dogs to train. dependant on where you live, try find a school you can train with the dog to create a bond and train it at the same time.
Go WITH her to training. You usually take a ‘class’ with other owners and their dogs, and it’s fun.
Remember that consistency is key. If you tell her to sit, and she doesn’t sit, and you give up, she will not sit for you ever. If you ask her to do something she HAS to do it. Don’t let her off not doing what you tell her to do! It’ll only make her more disobedient.
Also, make sure you establish yourself as the pack leader. Sometimes dogs disobey as a way to challenge their owner about who the boss is.
